Choreographic work

I strive to create a movement language that breaks with the traditional idea of dance.

Being introduced to Rudolf von Laban’s choreological theories along with Valerie Preston-Dunlop’s further exploration of them, I found a base to research from. The choreological approach interests me particularly because of it’s ability to identify every detail within the movement. I enjoy when choreography breaks our inlaid pattern and makes us move outside our habitual style.

I am interested in the idea of a general public as performers. I want to explore how we can intervene with peoples daily lives by making public spaces a stage for performances.
